Make Friends with Daisy Chain

Stockton on Tees is known for many things, however alongside our ‘parmos’ and our wide high street there are plenty of other fantastic things going on behind the scenes. One of the perks of working as a web developer in Stockton on Tees is stumbling across some of the fantastic causes that work out of the area. This month Web Guy came across http://www.daisychainproject.co.uk, a unique charity project that supports children with autism and offers help for their families. Daisy Chain’s 5.5 acre farm is based in Stockton on Tees and offers a wide range of exciting facilities and clubs to address the needs of those affected by autism. Along with the fully working farm there are sensory areas, indoor and outdoor play areas, regular social groups and organised activities for all of the family to enjoy.

Daisy Chain also offers a Friends of Daisy Chain scheme that gives local businesses, organisations and individuals the chance to support the cause. Many businesses have already signed up to pledge their support however it is not just financial donations that Daisy Chain are looking for. The Friends of Daisy Chain scheme is designed to allow businesses to share their skills and offer their time to ensure that the charity keeps running smoothly.

Along with the knowledge that you are helping out a fantastic cause, there are other benefits of signing up to be a Friend of Daisy Chain. There are regular networking events where you can meet other businesses and individuals that have also taken the time to help out the cause, a great opportunity to swap business cards! Each Friend of Daisy Chain also receives a personalised plaque to display and their details published on the website. Daisy Chain is also a great social network with events taking place throughout the year including an annual Christmas Ball that regularly attracts a large number of guests.

If you are looking to get involved in a very rewarding cause why not consider becoming a Friend of Daisy Chain? Whether you choose to do it as an individual or get the whole business involved one thing is for certain, you definitely will not be short of friends!
