Putting the Rand in Random
Here at Web Guy there is nothing we like more than finding a brand new technological craze. From religious apps to virtual girlfriends there seems to be no limits to the randomness of the net. So in keeping with tradition we bring you RandTxt, a new app that allows you to swap texts with complete strangers. Similar to Chatroulette, RandTxt is designed to allow users to swap questions with strangers, in the hope that it creates a comedic exchange.
The process is simple, you text a question to the RandTxt number and receive a question back. After you answer the question you simply wait for someone to respond to yours, whether you find it completely inane or a fantastic way to kill time RandTxt is definitely taking off. The main rule of the service is the sillier the better, with the best exchanges making it on to the website including;

Anonymity is the key to RandTxt exchanges however it does record the area code of each texter to help identify posts that make it onto the site. Whether you choose to partake in the Q&A or not, you can always head over to the website to read up on the day’s best exchanges. Five days after its launch, the site received around 9,000 texts with an increasing stream of traffic heading to the website each day. The makers are hoping that RandTxt has the same success as Chatroulette which has become a party favourite over the last year. As with Chatroulette, concerns over the safety of the service have been raised however RandTxt operate a clear policy that states that all profanity will be blocked and phones can easily be banned.
