Tweet Mirror: Yes your Bum Does Look Big in That

How many times have you gone out shopping and ended up coming home with a new outfit that ends up going back the next day? If you are anything like me it happens a lot! When you do not have an objective opinion on what looks good and what doesn’t, it is easy to panic buy and end up with bags full of dresses, shoes and shirts that look completely different when you get back home. Of course the simple solution to this problem is to never go shopping alone, however if you need to quickly dash into town to pick up an outfit for the works party on your lunch break, what other option do you have? Introducing the ultimate shopping saviour, the ‘Tweet Mirror’ the device that is set to eradicate the consequences of impulse buys!

Users of ‘Tweet Mirror’ can have their photo taken by a high definition camera which can then be sent to Facebook or Twitter for your friends to give their expert opinion. The camera will be attached to changing rooms and will also allow shoppers to view their outfit from a range of different angles before they make a decision on whether to purchase. The brains behind the device explained that their idea came out of the struggle of one engineer’s bride to be when choosing her wedding dress. Needing a second, third and possibly twentieth option the bride decided to take Polaroid pictures to share with her friends. Realising that there must be a simpler way to gather the advice you need, the engineer conjured up the ‘Tweet Mirror’.

There is the argument that shoppers can just as easily take a picture with their own camera and upload it to the sites however with a high definition camera and the ability to check out different angles, users have access to a much more accurate service. So far ‘Tweet Mirror’ has been trialled at the Westgate Shopping Centre in London however it is hoped that it will soon be a familiar sight on every high street.
