Webguy and BlindVoice UK

Webguy and BlindVoice UK

Recently Web guy has created a brand new website for a fantastic charity that offers help and support for blind and visually impaired people in Stockton on Tees. Blindvoice UK aims to provide each of its members with the confidence, self awareness and skills that they need, through the groups wide variety of quality facilities and services. The website details the aims, objectives and current 'goings on' of Blindvoice UK along with details on their recent projects. Those unfamiliar with the work of the group can read up on their services and how they are helping promote their work within the local community.

Whilst working alongside Blindvoice UK, Web guy was able to find out more about the work of the charity and exactly how they are developing their work in and around Stockton on Tees. In partnership with the Stockton Adult Education Centre, the group was able to offer blind and partially sighted people the chance to learn how to use a computer and gain recognised qualifications through the support of Adult Education tutors. The group also convert printed material into different formats including large print and Braille, a service that they offer to businesses to promote equality and inclusion in the workplace.

BlindVoice UK are committed to ensuring that ‘every experience with Blindvoice UK is a positive one’ and are highly proactive in spreading their message throughout the community. Working on this project was a great experience for Web guy and has definitely opened his eyes to more of the great charity work going on in and around Stockton. Those looking to find out more about the charity or see how they can help out can contact them through the site.
